The Batteries On The Makita Btd142hw Impact Driver Last Forever

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

One of my main gripes with a lot of power tools that I’ve used over the years is that the batteries just don’t seem to have the type of battery life that makes using them very efficient. Why spend a lot of time charging batteries when you’d rather just be getting the work done? I think that I’ll need to revisit a lot of my old tools and start replacing them with tools that have the new lithium ion batteries installed. My new makita btd142hw impact driver, for example, has just this kind of battery technology implemented and I rarely find myself out of battery power when it’s the least convenient. In fact, I always have a full charge available when the drill is needed, and that alone saves me a lot of time compared to my older tools. I should probably just keep getting more Makita tools from here so I can swap batteries between them all, which would be awfully convenient.
