Electric cigarettes, also known as e-cigarettes, are smokeless, battery powered cigarettes. These cigarettes can be smoked anywhere, and they contain no tobacco smoke. The smoker inhales doses of nicotine in a vaporized solution, instead of inhaling tobacco smoke. The lack of smoke being inhaled into the lungs presumably makes this a safer cigarette. These cigarettes are known to mimic the sensation of inhaling smoke, even though there is actually no smoke involved in the process. The cigarette uses refillable cartridges that contain the nicotine solution. These cartridges come in different flavors ranging from regular tobacco to fruit flavors. The cartridges also come in varying nicotine doses, much like regular cigarettes. The cartridges also come in varying levels of nicotine, so the smoker can decide how much nicotine they wish to inhale. These cigarettes use a lithium-ion battery and can be charged using USB technology. The electronic cigarette was created by Hon Lik, a Chinese medical practitioner, in 2003.

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010When this device first came out, there was the issue from the circle of tobacco enthusiasts that the taste just wouldn’t be as satisfying. Some said that a device like this, couldn’t possibly match the fully featured, full bodied bellow of a cigar, even. And to be fair, neither did old fashion cigarettes. But because a lot of these devices were made to handle tobacco leafs, and organic tobacco, the community really sort scoffed. But surprisingly these same folks are not championing the electric cigarettes. And all that aside you really have to wonder if that’s even important when you consider the fact that you’re actually putting off cancer by going with a device like this, as opposed to actually burning your tobacco. That’s the really and truly important thing about all this; is the health factor; the medical factor. How are you supposed to justify the old fashion burning processes of the old cigarette in that sense?
