i remember when my cousin came down from Italy, he wanted to drive my lil daewoo, i was very hesitant, but i let him drive for like 2 seconds and i was terrified. no only was he speeding like a maniac (australia is very strict with road safety laws, 50 or 60 is the speed limit pretty much everywhere in australia unless your driving in the bush or on a freeway) and he was doing like 120 on the wrong side of the road!

apparently in europe there is a fast lane, a slow lane and an inbetween lane and you can do pretty much whatever the hell you wanna do...

When you are stuck into your thing you can not see what you are missing. I do not know the exact situation of employement in your business, but since you sound like you were not happy with the place you were working in no money can be valuable then your inner peace.

i didnt get stoked but im happy for ya.. and its about time.. so whats the most u made in tips in one days/night of work?
i use to wait tables some years ago and biggest tip i got was $70 on a monday night
on a $300 check.. the dude was loaded.. and he only spoke Spanish and well i was the only waiter on the floor that night that spoke Spanish.. :)

the biggest single tip was 101.50, the most in one nigth was 382.00 , not too bad, and i ve heard of bartenders making 1200. per night, but thats usaully on like cince de mayo or new years eve, or some special event like that. i should be pullin in about 50-200 per shift, its a nice bar, and plus, its one of the managers i use to work for at charleys, he left there too, (the place sucks ass).

Maybe this is too farfetched but, if ur really running out of funds, you should go back to work and tell your boss you wanna be on standby if anything happens. As long as his family and relatives are there with him.. they will keep you informed.. but on the other hand if i were in your shoes.. i'd def stay.. but u cant lose your job.. if u need to take more time off, your boss should be understanding. How many days have u been out now>?
