Big difference, mostly in the size of the file.

.wav files are pretty big for full songs. In general, 1 minute will take up 10 MB of space on your drive. Pretty big if you have 7 or 8 minute songs like i do.

.mp3 files use a special compression method that compacts that 10 MB into 1 MB. So, if you have a 7 or 8 minute song, it's no longer 70 or 80 MB, respectively. It's now 7 or 8 MB.

That's why mp3 files gained so much popularity. The file size was small, which made it easy to trade over the internet, and done properly, you can't tell the difference between a regular cd and an MP3.

Well, there are a ton of different programs you can use, but the one I favor is called Audiograbber (http://tucows.tierra.net/files/agsetup.exe). It's free.

This program does it all. You can burn cds, and it will automatically name the album, artist, track title, all of that. Pulls the info from freedb.org (http://www.freedb.org/). Great program.

You'll want to encode the mp3 files in Stereo, of course, at a minium of 128kpbs. I recommend 192. All the songs that I use on 202 are 192.

To get that high, use an encoder such as LameEnc (http://www.webhostxpress.net/~mitiok/lame-3.96.1.zip). There should be instructions in the .zip file.
