Centrino is WIRELESS technology.. u kno how u stick a fone line ito ur pooty to access the net?? Yeh well if u have centrino in it, and u have a computer connected to the net in the conventional way, which has a wireless card, u can get the net without any cords thru this wireless connection... although my explanation is shit, and not fully explained.. this is only BREIFLY wat its about.. U can still have CENTRINO technology in ur PENTIUM 4 powered pooty...

celeron is a cut down type chip... its more of an entry level type chip into the market... whereas PENTIUM is more powerful chip....... pretty much the same thing yet one is more powerful..

as for SEMPRON.. no idea :D

Hilly, thats a pretty good explanation.

I think the big thing with the Centrino is that it's more power-friendly, so it doesn't suck the juice out of laptop batteries like a regular chip would.

The Celeron is a weakened version of a regular pentium chip, yeah.

AMD and Intel are fairly different. There has been a huge debate for quite some time now, and there will be forever, about which chipset is better. Typically, alot of gamers use AMD and more business use Intel. I myself used an AMD Athlon XP chip when I built my computer.
