What's the point of upgrading versions, right?

Well, here's some of the new stuff we get with the latest version:

Social Bookmarking:

This is to create bookmarks for a thread you want to see later, but are not at home. You have to be registered to one of those sites to make it work. This is found directly below the last post of the thread and right above the Quick Reply box.

New networking stuff for vBulletin. The friends thing is not exactly new, but it's now presented in a much nicer fashion. So now you can tell everyone who your REAL friends are here. Even though we're among friends here. Wait...

Networking - Social Groups:

Looks like myspace is changing teh face of the internets. But I think we already knew that.

These are little "groups" that everyone here (I think) can create. Users can join the group anytime they'd like. Unless it's a private group. Then I think they have to be added by someone in the group? I'm not sure yet. I'm still poking around this stuff. Lots to learn.

Networking - Pictures & Albums:

Yes, this latest version now has it's own little "gallery" thing. HOWEVER, since there is already a full-blown gallery in use, we'll be using that most of the time.

Just like private, except public! OMG!

Click into a person's profile and you can leave messages. PUBLIC messages. Don't tell them your wildest fantasies using this mething. Use the PRIVATE messaging system for that :D

The tagging system goes inline with the search function. It's a nifty little tool to really make searching for specific topics a damn sight easier. These are located after the last post in ever thread, right after the Bookmarks thing. In this thread, you can see I added several samples. If you want to add tags to a post you already made, you can click the "Edit Tags" link and add them in.

That's it for now. There is some other stuff I'm still learning about that I may turn on at a later date. So keep track here to see what new shit pops up.
