Well, this is going to take longer than I expected. Some douchebag on Saturday spilled beer or something onto one of my CDJ1000's. So that's in for repair to get the wheel moving again.

Ditto!
Hope to hear by Monday or Tuesday. The place I took it to is slow, but they do damn good work. They said that since liquid was involved, it'll be pushed up to the front of the line a bit.
I just hope I don't need a new controller board or something. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Well, I finally heard back from the repair place that I dropped the Pioneer at...

Fuck, I don't know. I could just try mixing it on my 100's, since I dunno when I'll be getting that 1k back. I haven't even given them the official go ahead to fix it yet.

well, thats over half of what you paid for it, sooo,
1, wait a little while longer, and get a better one,
2 try to get another model of that one.
thats what i would do.

$360? thats highway robbery man. i dont think it would be that much

No kidding. Like 4 or 5 parts have to be replaced inside the wheel, and little plastic parts.
The problem with finding a new one is that these things are old...5 and 6 years old, respectively. If I were to go that route, I'd want to make sure I get another MK1.

I usually toss 'em once done. I never really have a use for them. Well, now I do, I guess :D
